“After last night’s victory, the Sox said Bronson Arroyo and Tim Wakefield would pitch Games 3 and 4 (if necessary), but did not say which pitcher would start which game.” ( Boston Globe (original).)

Also, Schilling’s going to pitch Game 1 and Martinez will pitch Game 2.

Advantage: Population: One.

Are you disturbed by the Mountain Witch/Moose in the City thread on 20x20? I am.

To each their own. But I do reject the idea that I'm in some way wimping out by not going for the emotionally intense experience each time I game.

Come to think of it, MUSH RP can provide that sense of 'this is the most emotionally important thing in the world' every time out, and it's not entirely healthy.

Yeah, exactly. It was a little creepy, particularly when one of them generously allowed that some gamers might not be ready for the experience. I don't need to be guided to a deeper understanding of what I'm looking for from RPGs, and I am not interested in profound emotional connection with other people in my gaming.

A related thought: read all of the discussion about sharing and trust and cooperation as if the game under discussion were fencing. Would fencing really be improved by removing the adversarial aspect?

Indeed. That's my latest point -- I'm not always /looking/ for the same things Vincent is, and even when I am I sometimes have different avenues to them.

All this said, I've gamed with Vincent and it's been a ton of fun.
