Your host Bryant Durrell is a manager, a system administrator, a writer, a political observer, a gamer, a movie buff, and a collector. Most of these find their way into the blog eventually. He lives in Seattle with his wife and two cats. I started this blog (using Movable Type) back in 2002. In 2007, after a hard drive crash, I recovered the blog but somewhat moodily decided to move blogging over to LiveJournal and Imaginary Vestibule. Vestibule was supposed to be the culture blog and LJ was intended to be the personal blog, I think. That never really worked out right for me, so I merged the Vestibule and a side blog I was running for my 101 things in 1,001 days back into Population: One in 2009. ...

Monday Mashup

A long time ago when this blog lived on LiveJournal, I ran a gaming meme, which was the style at the time. Every Monday, I picked a piece of popular media – a book, a movie, a TV show, or even an album. Particiants picked a roleplaying world and talked about how they’d combine the two. Unfortunately, I’ve lost the list of participants to the mists of time. If I can recover the original livejournal list at some point, I will.
