The concept is: you make a list of 101 tasks, and you complete them in 1001 days. A year is too short, because if you’ve got a seasonal task like mowing the lawn once and you blow it one year you can’t do it again before your deadline. Also then you don’t get the fun symmetry effect. 101 in 1001. Oooh. There is a whole site (original) about this idea. My start date is Sunday, February 1st, 2009. My old-school gaming side is charmed by the idea of a whole campaign centered around a single dungeon. My perverse side wants to do it in 4e. I have a concept in mind: the Clocktower. It probably has too much plot in it for a real grognard’s taste.

Nice people, they’ve totally accepted me as family, and it’d be a nice vacation sometime.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention does fundraising walks; there’s one in Boston. This is a cause which is important to me.

Our bed is somewhat creaky and poorly put together. Something more solid would be a good idea. Also, the futon is about as old as the bed.

I was gonna do this at Christmas, but circumstances prevented. Jacob seemed fairly chuffed at the idea, and Mom was amused, so hey.

They Shoot Pictures, Don’t They? is a very cool site that aggregates as many top movie lists as they can. As of the time I posted this, I was at 32% of their 21st Century’s 250 Most Acclaimed Films list. Good list. Worth more effort. I should note that I don’t do these film lists out of a desire to keep score; it’s because I want to understand movies better, and seeing more great movies helps me with that.
