The first public draft of Into The Sunset (120K PDF) is now available. What’s that, you ask? It’s my little ten page roleplaying game of romantic comedies. Take a look if you like that sort of thing, and comment if the spirit moves you.
It’s cool to link to it, but please don’t stick it up anywhere else. Right now it’s under copyright; when I decide what I want to do with it I’ll most likely release it under a Creative Commons license. At that point it may well turn into an HTML document as well.

You know, I started reading this and something started to bug me almost immediately, so I read and read, trying to figure out what the growing sense of wrongness stemmed from. Then I figured it out.
I HATE movies like this. So it’s nothing wrong with the game.
Hm. In fact, that might be a positive, if I’ve captured enough of the genre to trigger the hate.
I considered that, but then again it’s not exactly difficult to trigger my hate.
I downloaded it and it looks good.
I may see if I can’t scare up a group to run it sometime soon. I’d like to get back into gaming FTF and this kind of thing (and some other beer & pretzels games like KAMB) might be the ticket for those who can’t do weekly or biweekly games.
Ginger — thanks! Please let me know how it goes; I’d love to hear a playtest report. Heck, I’ll even include you in the credits. 😉
I’m hoping to post a new version this weekend.
