Harmless, fun, and witty. I liked Hoffman and Beatty playing against type; Hoffman spent the whole movie with that slight air of dangerousness he has sometimes. It doesn’t deserve legendary status in any direction, but when a production was as screwed up as this one was, you’ve got to expect some fallout.
