Tom Kratman responded to my recent discussion of his Posleen book over on my LiveJournal. Since that post is about a month old, I figured I’d be fair and provide a pointer to the discussion. If I’ve given people a negative impression of him, which I imagine I have, he deserves to have his defense seen.

What is the web coming to when you can’t even gripe about someone’s tortured prose without them telling you that they’re still a colonel in the army and therefore the phrase “alien menace” is good writing?
Perhaps the implication is that “alien menace” is a phrase commonly used in today’s armed forces.
But hey — he’s apparently very popular. By that metric, Al Gore would have been a better President than Bush, since Gore won the popular vote.
