12/22/2019: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019): ***

Rian Johnson opened up Star Wars movies to be more than just the original trilogy. (Full credit to Rogue One as well.) Rise of the Skywalker returns the movies to their mythic heart, and executed that very well. Can’t help but be sad for what might have been, though.
