Several days late, but here we go. My 1001 days started on 2/1/2009, and will end on 10/20/2001. For more details, see my launch page.

Some tasks are geekier than others. Right now, the BSD ports collection is not getting updated properly on my server. This has been a small nagging issue that doesn’t actually hurt anything for a couple of years; might as well get it fixed.
The concept is: you make a list of 101 tasks, and you complete them in 1001 days. A year is too short, because if you’ve got a seasonal task like mowing the lawn once and you blow it one year you can’t do it again before your deadline. Also then you don’t get the fun symmetry effect. 101 in 1001. Oooh.
There is a whole site about this idea.
My start date is Sunday, February 1st, 2009. My end date is Sunday, October 30, 2011. I don’t have a full list yet but waiting for that to occur seems doomed to procrastinatory failure.
This blog is my tracking device, so as to avoid clogging up everywhere else I produce content. (Twitter! That’d be funny.)
My old-school gaming side is charmed by the idea of a whole campaign centered around a single dungeon. My perverse side wants to do it in 4e. I have a concept in mind: the Clocktower. It probably has too much plot in it for a real grognard’s taste.
I have these nice omnibus editions. I’ve read other Gene Wolfe books and liked ’em. I’ve read the first couple hundred pages of Shadow of the Torturer at least four times. Time to stop stalling out!
You know, a David Eyre’s Pancake. It’s been a family thing forever and I keep meaning to cook it and why shouldn’t I?
Nice people, they’ve totally accepted me as family, and it’d be a nice vacation sometime.
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention does fundraising walks; there’s one in Boston. This is a cause which is important to me.
Our bed is somewhat creaky and poorly put together. Something more solid would be a good idea. Also, the futon is about as old as the bed.
I feel like I should. All the cool kids are doing it. I don’t have to be super-good with it, but I’d like to be able to use it. (Deja vu!)
