Staccato, oblique cuts tell half the story with the expressions on each protagonist’s face. It’s all eyes, all people watching one another, often enough through glass. Occasionally in mirrors.

“I thought we were just going to observe.”
“No, we’re going to go and have a look, mate.”

“You don’t want to fucking look at that.”
“Well, I’ve got to now, don’t I?”

“Do you want to have a look at it?”
“Better yet, I can give you some advice.”

The flaws — the vulnerabilities that lead to destruction — revolve around what isn’t seen.
